Berkeley scientists shine new light on green plant secrets

The future of solar power may well hinge on demystifying how green plants convert sunlight into electrochemical energy. To this end, researchers at the Berkeley Lab and UC Berkeley have, for the first time, observed and characterized “quantum entanglement,” a physical phenomenon behind photosynthesis.
